"Please let me rest" interview manners

The South Korean soccer team's Son Heung-min (Tottenham Hotspur) has a body to spare. After finishing up the league and playing some friendlies, he's back in South Korea for the World Cup.

He arrived back home on the afternoon of the 23rd through Incheon International Airport, surrounded by fans and media.

In his ninth EPL season with Tottenham, Heung-min scored 17 goals and provided 10 assists for the team this season, becoming the sixth player in English Premier League history to reach the 10-goal, 10-assist mark.

Heung-min's final matches before returning home will be the EPL's final 38th round away match against Sheffield United on Sept. 20, followed by a friendly against Newcastle United.

Heung-min joins Wayne Rooney, Muhammad Salah (five times), Frank Lampard, Eric Cantona (four times) and Didier 메이저사이트 Drogba (three times) as the only players in the EPL to record at least three 10-10s. Son Heung-min is eighth in goals and third in assists among them.

Unfortunately, the team failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season, finishing in fifth place.

Son also traveled to Australia for a friendly against Newcastle, where he started and played 61 minutes. Spurs lost the match 4-5 on penalties.

After the game, the Australian media flocked to cover Tottenham and asked for interviews, but Son, already exhausted, declined. His "pleasant and polite" refusal, which was well-received by the media, has since gone viral and become a bit of a trending topic in the community.

Son Heung-min declined the interview at the time, saying, "Can you just let me go today? I've always done interviews, and yesterday I did a 먹튀검증 press conference, so please can I just go today? Please give me a vacation for today. Thank you," he smiled at the press.

The reporters were also pleased with Son's smiling refusal. "He turned down the interview in the best and most uncontroversial way possible," said Australia 10 News reporter Lucas Rinaldo, who was on the scene, adding, "After a full 48-hour schedule in Australia, the players deserve a well-deserved break."

After a short break, Son Heung-min will wear the captain's armband again after returning home to the cheers of his fans.

After shaking off the accumulated fatigue, Son will be ready to travel to Singapore in June for two June A matches in the second Asian qualifying round for the 2026 North and Central American World Cup, which will be announced on June 27. The Singapore match will take place on June 6. They will then return home to face China on June 11. The team will then travel to Seoul's Sangam World Cup Stadium on Aug. 3 to face Bayern Munich in an invitational match as part of the Coupang Play Series.
