Overseas Musings: Building a Better Canada Together
Canada is a country built by immigrants, and no matter when we arrived—whether 20, 30, 40, 50 years ago or even longer—we are all part of the same family. This land has been shaped by the contributions of many, both new and old residents. We all share the responsibility of making this country even better for future generations.
This is our home now, and we can never go back to the past. Our future generations will live on this land, and it is our responsibility to contribute to its growth. As newcomers, we bring valuable cultural gifts to Canada, alongside wisdom and strategies for nation-building. But it’s important to remember that Canada’s strength lies in its unity. Whether we’ve been here for decades or have just arrived, we all play a role in its future.
Canada is not divided by when we arrived but united by our shared commitment to its progress. Together, we embrace our diverse backgrounds, learn from one another, and work towards a common goal: to make Canada a place of prosperity, harmony, and opportunity for all.
